I originally came from a financial and accounting background. I ended up spending a lot of my time building out automations for spreadsheets, and realized I loved to problem solve and build tools to help others. After completing a software engineering program, I began working at App Academy as a Module Assistant. Here I gained a lot of hands-on experience working with clients, debugging, managing projects, and working with code. After exceeding performance expectations, I was promoted to a Lead Instructor in charge of managing my own class and teaching students how to program. While not providing lectures, I am building out applications for internal or for demo-purposes to be used in future lectures.
